bell's old tom's legagy...

Gowrie Farm and Bell's Scotch Whiskey have come together to offer a unique opportunity to win a trip to Scotland. Experience the great courses of Scotland, which were influenced by Old Tom Morris. Had Tom Morris lived, he would have been 190 years this year. We felt that this was reason enough to celebrate not only Tom, but the other legends of a bygone era.

The Bell’s Old Tom’s Legacy competition will be played over 8 months as a Betterball competition. The monthly winners will be entered into the final, together with another team which will be decided by a monthly lucky draw. Gowrie Farm will also be hosting a competition in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and the North and South Coasts. The winners of these competitions will also go through to the final. Gowrie Farm will be introducing “The Folie 10”, a 10 hole competition at Gowrie Farm, where the winner will also progress to the final of the Bell’s Old Tom’s Legacy competition, which is to be held on the 27th and 28th of October, 2011.

At the final, the magnificent trout waters of Gowrie Farm will be tested and the winning team will be the team which catches the largest fish during a designated time. Only the first fish caught by each team will be counted for the competition.

This shall prove to be a novel and exciting competition, with magnificent monthly prizes and the final winners receiving a fabulous trip to visit St Andrews, Carnoustie, Prestwick, Crail and other famous courses which played a part in Tom Morris’ life.
